Major Projects Development Program Proposed by Commissioner

On Tuesday, Commissioner La Rocca announced the proposal of a new Major Projects Development Program. This program, targeting the city's largest construction projects, would improve safety and efficiency on the work sites. By providing increased support and collaboration to the developers, the city hopes to help work sites get off the ground more easily and avoid work stoppages. Developers that register for the program would receive one-on-one guidance from DOB staff regarding Zoning and Code compliance, site safety, and issuance of Temporary and Final Certificates of Occupancy, among other topics.

This plan, if put into action, would hopefully add more jobs and help spur the recovering economy.
